Staking Pool Overview
Cortensor's staking pools are designed to reward community members who actively participate in supporting the network through staking. Our staking pool contract is based on PAAL's system, a proven and battle-tested contract used in production for over a year. Initially, we developed our own staking pool, but we switched to PAAL's system for added security and efficiency, allowing us to focus on the core development of the network.
Staking Pool Security
PAAL's staking contract has passed several security audits, confirming its reliability in handling staked assets. While the contract is already in production with no significant security issues, we conducted an additional audit to ensure extra protection for our community. The only minor issue identified was the emergency withdrawal function, which slightly lowered the audit score. This feature allows us to safeguard staked funds in case of unexpected exploits but could also be renounced to further secure the contract. However, renouncing this function would prevent any future protection against unforeseen vulnerabilities. The audit provider confirmed that if the emergency withdrawal function were renounced, the contract's score would match that of the token contract, further boosting its security standing.
We aim to consult the community in the future to determine whether we should keep or renounce the emergency withdrawal function based on our growth and community feedback.
Staking Pool Contracts
Cortensor’s staking pools are structured into StakingPools and TokenStakingPools:
StakingPool: Stores user-deposited tokens and ETH revenue shares
TokenStakingPool: Stores token rewards distributed to stakers over time.
Below are the addresses for our staking pools, along with the PoolManager that oversees the distribution of rewards and overall management of the staking pools:

APR Breakdown
First 6 months: up to 60% APR
Next 3 months: up to 30% APR
Final 3 months: up to 15% APR
After that: between 5-10% APR
Due to the early stage of the project, we are offering a higher APR during the first few months to incentivize and reward early adopters who actively contribute to the growth of Cortensor. Please note that these APR rates are subject to change based on the network’s emission rate, market conditions, and overall supply-demand dynamics within the ecosystem. Adjustments may be made to ensure long-term sustainability and alignment with the growth of the platform.

Backup Staking Website (Plain Wallet Connect, not mobile-friendly): https://stake-vallina.cortensor.network Use this as a backup in case there are any issues with the main staking website.
Manual Refill for TokenStakingPools
Each TokenStakingPool will be refilled regularly by our admin team to ensure a smooth reward distribution process. If you encounter an error or notice that the balance of any TokenStakingPool is 0, please notify our community moderators immediately for resolution.
Future Community Involvement
As Cortensor grows, community involvement will remain essential in shaping the network's future, including deciding on key features such as the emergency withdrawal function. By staking in these pools, participants not only earn rewards but also support the network’s security and scalability. Stay tuned for further updates and discussions regarding the direction of the staking pools.
