Dashboard

The Cortensor Dashboard is an integrated interface designed to provide a comprehensive view of the Cortensor network. It serves as a Mining Explorer, a Node Performance Tracker, and a User Interface for interacting with Cortensor’s decentralized AI inference services. This dashboard bridges miners, developers, and end users, making it the central hub for monitoring, contributing to, and utilizing the Cortensor network.

This early-stage dashboard preview is targeted for Closed Alpha Testing Phase #1, where miners and testers can monitor their progress and visualize node performance. Additionally, it introduces foundational features for users and developers to interact with the network for AI task processing and inference services.

Key Features and Modules

1. Cognitive Tab (Mining Explorer)

  • Purpose: Tracks mining progress and visualizes active AI inference tasks.

  • Integration: Interacts with the Cognitive Module, which powers the Proof of Useful Work (PoUW) state machine.

  • Details:

    • Displays state transitions, including Request, Create, Prepare, Precommit, and Commit.

    • Provides insights into miner contributions and the overall health of mining operations.

2. NodeStats Tab (Node Performance Tracker)

  • Purpose: Monitors individual node performance and records behavioral metrics.

  • Integration: Connected to the NodeStats Module, which tracks mining activity and node reliability.

  • Details:

    • Snapshots include counters (task participation) and points (success or failure metrics).

    • Tracks heartbeat pings to ensure nodes remain active and available.

    • Future Enhancements: Will incorporate data from the NodeReputation Module, enabling time-series analysis of node behavior and validator assessments.

3. Session Tab (User Interaction and Network Services)

  • Purpose: Provides a user-friendly interface for developers and users to interact with the network for AI task processing and inference.

  • Integration: Tied to the Session Module, which manages user requests and task configurations.

  • Details:

    • Users can create and manage sessions, configuring parameters like accuracy and correctness.

    • Deposits and task costs are handled through $COR tokens.

    • Logs task results, storing data in decentralized storage (e.g., IPFS) while maintaining metadata on-chain.

Future Enhancements

  1. Node Reputation System:

    • Uses NodeStats data to evaluate long-term node performance and behavior.

    • Introduces reputation-based task assignments and incentive models for miners.

  2. Enhanced User Interface:

    • Tools for developers to integrate applications and services seamlessly.

    • Visual insights into task distribution, session management, and network health.

  3. Smart Job Queue in SessionQueue Module:

    • Advanced job routing based on node capabilities and task complexity.

    • Ensures efficient assignment of tasks to nodes that meet computational requirements.

Access and Current Status

The Cortensor Dashboard is in its early development phase, showcasing foundational functionalities for miners, testers, and users. It will evolve rapidly with feedback, becoming a robust interface for managing all aspects of the Cortensor ecosystem.

Conclusion

The Cortensor Dashboard is more than a monitoring tool—it is the central interface for miners, developers, and users to interact with the Cortensor network. By integrating Cognitive, NodeStats, and Session modules, the dashboard offers a seamless experience for mining exploration, node performance tracking, and AI task processing. This modular, scalable design ensures the dashboard will continue to grow alongside Cortensor, meeting the needs of its diverse user base.
